"Hakuryu (white dragon)" fusuma

These are posthumously displayed works of the artist "Ryo Akamatsu." [Fusuma paintings in the center of the main hall]
The Hakuryu emerging from the tempestuous waves toward the heavens symbolizes Hideyoshi Toyotomi becoming the top samurai in Japan and striving for peace.

Profile of Ryo Akamatsu
Born in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture in 1922. Created fusuma paintings for Entoku-in Temple in 1995. Passed away in 1996.
Ikuou Kinoshita and Tadashi Shimura, who created the "Shochikubai golden fusuma" and "Setsugekka golden fusuma," were pupils of Akamatsu.
